Disclosure Policy

Since our beloved governments have guidelines for bloggers regarding endorsements, testimonials and advertisements (and/or any other items related to the various ways in which a blogger or website makes money), hereby my “disclosure policy.” In the case of our neighbor to the south, the US of A, those aforementioned guidelines would be their FTC rules.  Here in Canada, our government is still thinking about it.  But when they get it together – I’ll be ready!

Since this blog from time to time will be a channel for “content marketing” – in other words, I’ll be sometimes writing about businesses, products, services, and other things that I like or that impact my life.  My own products and services, and those of others.  I will review, recommend (or not!), and talk about various products and services.  And, yes, I will be making money through the content I share on my blog(s).

And sometime you, my dear reader, may be influenced by what I write. In fact, at some point, you may even purchase or establish relationships with my own services and products, or those of others I may review or recommend.  Of course, I will always do my best to maintain your trust by always keeping you and your best interests in mind.

What, you ask, will I be selling?  Check out my “About” page.  Check out the other pages on this blog that explain specifically about my business, and about my various sites.  And then come back here and read my policy (or just read it now!  Easy! Then go explore the rest of this site.

Anyway, please keep the following in mind:

*All the content on this site has a potential financial impact.  I may make money from every post I put on this blog. (On the other hand, some – even much – content may have no money-making purpose at all.  But still.  The potential is ALWAYS there for ALL content!  Which is why you are reading this disclosure policy.  Okay!)

*All the content on this site, including links, may be used to promote products, services, and affiliate businesses.  Such promotions will always be with the goal of creating very good value for my readers.  If, on rare occasion, it doesn’t turn out that way for you, I now ask for forgiveness in advance!

*Sometimes I will link to other sites that I am not being compensated for; I will do so because I want to provide you with great sources of useful information.

*Much of the content on this site will be written by me.  But there will be times when I have guest bloggers.  While I will choose them carefully and endorse them, their opinions are their opinions, not necessarily mine, and I am not responsible for those opinions.  The same goes for the opinions of comment writers!

*Products I receive, and then review or recommend, will have been gotten free of charge and at no personal cost to myself.  If the product is given to me with the request that I review it, I will tell you. I will not receive payment of any kind for products I review.

*When I post testimonials for my own products and services (and/or those of others), obviously they are most likely going to be “best” reviews.  No product makes  everyone 100% happy all of the time.  Remember that you may well have a different experience than the writer of the testimonial.  I can’t guarantee your success.  But I will only post testimonials that I think give results that are achieveable for those who are willing to themselves use the products in a way that leads to success.  Meanwhile, consider carefully before purchasing.

*By the way, I will not pay others to give testimonials for my products.  But sometimes I will give “link love.”

*I pay for every contest and/or giveaway, unless I otherwise state.

*I will not guarantee that my review of any product, service or business will be a “positive” review.  It will however be fairly assessed, and reviewed in a manner of value to my readers.  If that means I have to slam a product or service, I will do so.

*I reserve the right to choose the advertising and sponsorship for this site, and will not knowingly sponsor or advertise a product I would not use myself.  If such a product ends up on my site, I will remove the ad the moment I become aware of the problem.

*I will promote affiliate partner businesses that are relevant to my readers.  If you buy products through those affiliate links, I will get paid a commission.

*I am a Christian.  I will not, however, market products as “Christian” products or services.  Don’t ask me to do so.  Your products and services – and mine too – should stand on their own merits.  They should do what they are meant to do, assuming the user uses them the way they are meant to be used.  (And yes, sometimes – rarely, it is to be hoped – products will fail to satisfy.  In which case, I will refund you for any product I have created and you have purchased from me in good faith).

Thank you to all my wonderful readers for your support and encouragement.  I trust our blogs and our time spent together will make life a little more profitable for all of us!

This policy (as with all policies on this site) may be changed from time to time without prior notice.  The most recently posted copy of the policy will be the policy currently in effect.
