Hello! My name is Norma. I’m a “Jill-of-all-trades” …

My favorite “job” is being a wife and mom (5 children, 3 grandchildren and counting…)…

I have a BEd (Secondary: Social Studies and Teacher Librarianship), and have also taught (in both public and independent/Christian schools) other subjects including Home Economics, French, and English, as well as being a teacher-on-call at elementary and secondary levels in numerous subject areas, home schooling all elementary and secondary grades, tutoring at secondary and post-secondary levels, and tutoring ESL learners. I have also been a secretary, orchardist, home-based business owner, custodian, apartment manager, and countless other adventures!

I love writing, and have several websites and blogs (you’ll find them in my links). I have also worked free-lance for radio, been a newspaper columnist, and have been published in magazines.

I am a Christian, and you will find that this worldview definitely is reflected in my writing, but I enjoy examining and discussing other viewpoints as well, so feel free to share yours in the comment boxes! Some of my favorite topics are the church, family stories, and Haida Gwaii (the people, and the islands!).

I am also, with some trepidation, trying to develop my website and blog design skills. Help!?!?!
