More December 6:

Lord, the whole “prayer request list” thing is being really hard for me… I want to pray, to talk to You… and I do care about those people and their needs… but I don’t know, it feels so repetitious… and a lot of them I don’t even know… and I don’t know if they still need those prayers… or if they’ve been answered or whatever… I guess maybe I’m just lazy or giving in too easy or something.. I am feeling down - “sluggish” ..  I have so many things (including prayer!) that I could and/ or should an/ or would like to do… but I just can’t seem to get my rear in gear!

I do love You, Lord.  I do want everyday - every moment! - relationship with You.  I do want to serve You, praticipate in Your work, preach Your Word, write about You, too… but it seems like I’m doing nothing.

Please help me, Lord.  Please show me Your will, Your work that You are doing and I can participate in.  Well, Your will be done.  I love You, Lord.  I praise You - You are amazing, wonderful, worthy! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Yesterday, Lord, I called out to You (in wriing, just before I went to sleep), telling You how lost I was feeling and how hard it hasbeen for me to pray… and this morning, in the message brought by a guest speaker (on short notice) You answered!  Wow!  thank You!

“Don’t pray for people because you “have to” - pray with passion!  Don’t give God scraps (Mk 12:30):  Love God with all your heart (emoton), soul (spiritual), mind (intellectual), strength (all physical aspects) …  Where is God in your life?  Is he really #1?  What are you building on your foundation (which is Christ)?  Where is your passion?  The more we pray (which is getting to know God) the more passion we will have for God in our life.  Get rid of the sin in your life before prayer.  How do we come to that point of walking with our Father?  We must have much Word and much prayer each day.  Pray the scriptures.  The Spirit brings passion.  What motivates you to passion?  You want things to happen?  You pray!  When people pray, walls come down.  Put God first:  how much time do you give Him compared to other activities?  (like Facebook… ouch!)…  Obedience, blameless walk, sincere:  get your life completely right with God.  Prayer life:  start today - with passion - pray for it until God pours down His blessing and you hear Him.  Plan:  - search out a place to pray - ask God for conviction (ask God to help you know what your sin is; and to get rid of it; clean house: how can I be the best for God?) - ask God to make the scriptures alive! - get a prayer journal; focus; write down answers - be thankful: ask God to teach you how - pursue God sincerely!

Okay!  And not only that… the other day I went to the party rentals place to maybe rent church decorations, at least candelebra, etc, for the wedding - and just felt “NO!” - although I had a picture in my mind of what I’d like…
